Underwater Football History


Underwater football was developed in 1965 by Dave Murdoch, a scuba diving instructor who was teaching at the University of Manitoba's Frank Kennedy Centre. The game grew out of a "keep-away" training exercise that used a pool brick to develop students' snorkeling skills. The U of M Underwater Football club is still active today.
